Youths in Titusville to clean up town of cigarette butts

From staff reports

Titusville youths will celebrate World No Tobacco Day with a “Big Butt Clean-Up” on Wednesday.

YWCA youth advocates and Titusville middle and high school students will walk through town picking up discarded cigarette butts, vapes, disposable nicotine cartridges, and other debris.

The cleanup begins at the Titusville YWCA at 3:30 p.m., but all are invited to start from any location in town with participants ending back at the YWCA.

Each year, the World Health Organization sponsors and promotes the day by educating the public about the risks of tobacco use and campaigns for effective policies to reduce tobacco use in general.
