World Tai Chi Day event will be held in Franklin

Local Tai Chi practitioners in Franklin will host a free public session on Saturday morning in Bandstand Park to celebrate World Tai Chi Day. From 10 to 11 a.m., participants can learn the meditative and health-promoting exercise from experienced instructors like Bev Hart, who has practiced for 37 years. The global event follows the sun, beginning in New Zealand and ending in Hawaii, promoting Tai Chi’s benefits for physical and mental well-being. In case of rain, the event will move to the park’s bandshell. World Tai Chi Day aims to raise awareness of Tai Chi’s proven health benefits and encourage its integration into various institutions worldwide.
