Angie Spaziani of Seneca and her family love looking for bald eagles.

Two years ago this month, Spaziani saw three bald eagles near the Cutt’n Hut along Horsecreek Road, between Meadow and East State roads. The Cutt’n Hut is owned by Spaziani’s father-in-law, Steve Nelson.

The newspaper featured a photo of one of those eagles at that time after Spaziani contacted us about the sighting.

Spaziani said Wednesday that she hadn’t seen a bald eagle since that day two years ago. But as the snow fell Wednesday morning, she saw the largest bald eagle she had ever seen land in a tree by the Cutt’n Hut.

“Its wing span was at least six feet long,” she said. “My father-in-law has seen a lot of eagles. That’s his thing. And he agreed that it is the biggest one he has ever seen.”

Spaziani sent us this photo of the bald eagle.
