Jessica Lee Kase, a 40-year-old Oil City woman, faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges after an alleged shoplifting incident at the Cranberry Walmart. Store employees observed Kase concealing items and damaging merchandise, totaling $1,370 in stolen goods and $290 in damages. When detained, she made obscene remarks to employees, and a black purse containing suspected heroin was found among her belongings. Kase resisted arrest, yelling and attempting to jump out of a patrol car. She is charged with felony retail theft, attempted escape, drug possession, and other offenses. Held in Venango County jail, her preliminary hearing is set for December 4.
