An Oil City woman is facing several charges after her family turned over knives and drug paraphernalia that police say the woman had left in the family’s house.
Oil City police said they met with the brother of Kerri Lynn Brown, 33, on Sunday at the residence Brown had until recently shared with him and their mother.
“(Brown) had left the residence and they discovered several pieces of drug paraphernalia in a common closet area,” police said.
When officers took inventory of the bags they found four pipes and bowls for the purpose of smoking marijuana, two types of plastic baggies commonly used for the packaging and distribution of controlled substances, and two knives classified as prohibited offensive weapons, the complaint said.
“One was basically a big Rambo knife and the other was a double-edged knife with what are basically a pair of brass knuckles on the handle,” police said.
“They really have no legitimate purpose in northwest Pennsylvania,” police said.
Brown has been charged with two misdemeanor counts of making repairs, selling, etc. of offensive weapons, two misdemeanor counts of delivery or intent to deliver drug paraphernalia and four misdemeanor counts of use- possession of drug paraphernalia.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled July 31 in Central Court.
