A Franklin woman, Emily Vanzandt, 43, faces charges including ethnic intimidation for refusing to leave a man’s property and threatening him with a racial slur. The incident occurred on Elm Street, where Vanzandt was reportedly screaming and swearing at the property owner, threatening to assault and kill him. Witnesses confirmed that Vanzandt’s behavior was typical. She was charged with ethnic intimidation, terroristic threats, defiant trespass, and disorderly conduct. Unable to post bail, Vanzandt was jailed, with a preliminary hearing set for July 3 in Central Court.
