This week’s visit by the Harlem Wizards to Oil City High School raised about $8,500 for the Hasson Heights Elementary School playground fund.
Hasson principal Tracy Delmonaco said many of those in attendance at the game will be sending in their own private donations as well.
“I think we’re close to $60,000 now,” Delmonaco said. “We applied for a grant that we’ll know more about after the first week of May.”
The fundraising comittee has a superhero-princess dance scheduled May 14 at the school and then will figure out where to go from there.
