Witch Walk event returns to Franklin

The Dancing Witches of Emlenton and the Sisters of the Northern Forest of Kane perform on Witches Alley (12th Street) during the Witch Walk in Franklin last year.

The annual Witch Walk in downtown Franklin, organized by the Franklin Retail and Business Association, will take place on Saturday from 4 to 7 p.m. The event invites shoppers to dress as witches and warlocks for Halloween-themed activities and shopping. For $25, participants can enjoy a scavenger hunt, door prizes, games, photo ops, and sample tarot readings. Entertainment will include a magician, a witch dance group, and a storyteller. Despite controversy from a local church over the inclusion of tarot readings, organizers emphasize the event is meant to boost local businesses. This year, 26 businesses are involved, the highest participation yet.
