Winter weather causes multiple accidents, road closures

A winter storm hit northwestern Pennsylvania on Sunday night, bringing snow, ice, and hazardous road conditions. Venango County reported nine weather-related crashes, while an ongoing wreck on I-80 prevented Clarion County from providing totals. Multiple crashes led to closures on eastbound I-80 from Exit 35 to Exit 53. PennDOT reduced speed limits on several interstates and expected road reopenings later that night. The National Weather Service warned of slick and hazardous conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses.
