The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Venango, Forest, Clarion, Mercer and Jefferson counties from 10 p.m. tonight through 4 p.m. Saturday.
Ice accumulation of one quarter of an inch or more and one to three inches of snow are expected. Snow will begin this evening and will mix with and change to freezing rain late tonight, according to the NWS.
The ice and snow will create dangerous driving conditions, according to the NWS, and could cause tree limbs and power lines to break, causing outages. Ten to 15 mile per hour winds, with gusts of up to 25 mph, are expected.
