Winners of contested races in Pennsylvania’s primary

The winners of contested races for governor, lieutenant governor, U.S. Senate and U.S. House in Pennsylvania’s primary on Tuesday. Three U.S. House primaries were too close to call Tuesday night.

US SENATE

Four-term U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta won a two-way Republican primary. He will face two-term Democratic U.S. Sen. Bob Casey.

GOVERNOR

State Sen. Scott Wagner won a three-way Republican primary. He will face first-term Democratic Gov. Tom Wolf.

LT. GOVERNOR

John Fetterman, the mayor of Braddock in Allegheny County, won a five-way Democratic primary. Jeff Bartos won a four-way Republican primary.

U.S. HOUSE

1st District

Freshman U.S. Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick won a two-way Republican primary. Scott Wallace won a three-way Democratic primary. The race is considered a toss-up in November.

2nd District

Two-term U.S. Rep. Brendan Boyle won a two-way Democratic primary. He will face Republican David Torres in the heavily Democratic district.

3rd District

Freshman U.S. Rep. Dwight Evans won a two-Democratic primary. He will face Republican Bryan Leib in the heavily Democratic district.

4th District

State Rep. Madeleine Dean won a three-way Democratic primary. She will face Republican Dan David in the Democratic-leaning district.

5th District

Mary Gay Scanlon won a 10-way Democratic primary. She will face Republican Pearl Kim in the Democratic-leaning district.

6th District

No contested primaries.

7th District

Susan Wild won a six-way Democratic primary. Two candidates were vying for the Republican nomination. The race is considered a toss-up in November.

8th District

John Chrin won a three-way Republican primary. He will face three-term Democratic U.S. Rep. Matt Cartwright in the Democratic-leaning district.

9th District

Dan Meuser won a three-way Republican primary. Dennis Wolff won a three-way Democratic primary. The district leans Republican and has an open seat.

10th District

A four-way Democratic primary was too close to call. The winner will face three-term Republican U.S. Rep. Scott Perry in the Republican-leaning district.

11th District

Two-term U.S. Rep. Lloyd Smucker won a two-way Republican primary. He will face Democrat Jess King in the solidly Republican district.

12th District

Four-term U.S. Rep. Tom Marino won a two-way Republican primary. A two-way Democratic primary was too close to call. The district is solidly Republican.

13th District

John Joyce won an eight-way Republican primary. He will face Democrat Brent Ottaway in the solidly Republican district for the open seat.

14th District

State Sen. Guy Reschenthaler won a two-way Republican primary. Bibiana Boerio won a four-way Democratic primary. The district is solidly Republican and has an open seat.

15th District

Susan Boser won a two-way Democratic primary. She will face five-term Republican U.S. Rep. Glenn Thompson in the solidly Republican district.

16th District

Ron DiNicola won a three-way Democratic primary. He will face four-term Republican U.S. Rep. Mike Kelly in the Republican-leaning district.

17th District

No contested primaries.

18th District

Twelve-term U.S. Rep. Mike Doyle won a two-way Democratic primary. No Republicans filed to run in the heavily Democratic district.
