The FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America) Regional Leadership Meeting was held Oct. 22 at IUP. West Forest High School sophomore Alison McLaughlin, fourth from right, was elected as a regional officer. To her right is West Forest sophomore Robert Payne, also a regional officer. West Forest junior Hazel Hilyer, second from right, is a current FCCLA state officer. Junior Macalie Hoffmann, who is also a state officer, is presenting at the podium. These local students, along with others on the stage from around the state, planned, organized and presented the three-hour conference filled with workshops about entrepreneurship, STAR events for future competitions and leadership development skills.
