Franklin state police released details Tuesday about a three-vehicle crash Monday afternoon near Victory Heights Hill in Cranberry Township that sent two people to the hospital.
Police said Willard A. Wright, 21, of Oil City, was headed west on Route 322 at about 2:45 p.m. Monday when he failed to see two cars in front of him that were stopped for a vehicle making a left turn.
Wright’s vehicle hit a vehicle driven by Bradley K. Wice, 22, of Kennerdell, from behind, and Wice’s vehicle was pushed into the back of a vehicle driven by Cynthia L. DeLuca, 55, of Franklin, police said.
Wright and a passenger in Wice’s car, Paige E. Taylor, 21, of Kennerdell, were taken by ambulance to UPMC Northwest for treatment of injuries of an unknown extent, police said.
Police cited Wright for following too closely.
