Venango waste collection event planned March 25

A Venango County household hazardous waste and electronics collection event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at the Cranberry Mall.

Pre-registration is required by calling (866) 815-0016 or logging onto www.ecsr.net.

Household hazardous waste products are things such as cleaning products, pool chemicals, wood and metal cleaners and polish, indoor pesticides, animal flea repellents, mouse and rat poisons and bait, motor oil and gas, paint, propane tanks, thermometers, aerosols, adhesives and glues and fluorescent light bulbs.

Electronics are also accepted and they include items such as televisions, printers, microwaves, stereos, CD and tape players, copiers, fax machines, cell phones, laptop computers, VCRs and DVD players, phone systems, dehumidifiers and air conditioners.

Items that won’t be accepted include ammunition, explosives, medical waste, radioactive waste (excluding smoke detectors), large appliances, tires and syringes.
