Venango Technology Center students shine at SkillsUSA event

Students from Venango Technology Center won 29 medals at the SkillsUSA District 10 competition last month across various technical and trade categories. Gold medalists included Dominic Merritt (Criminal Justice), Timothy Walentowski (Diesel Equipment Technology), Autumn Wysocki and Sabastien Bemis (Emergency Medical Technician Team), Josiah White (Extemporaneous Speaking), and Dominic Fox (HVAC). Silver and bronze medals were earned in fields like welding, firefighting, electronics, and job skills demonstrations. The gold medalists will compete at the SkillsUSA Pennsylvania state competition in Hershey from April 2-4 for a chance to advance to the national level.
