This year’s Venango County Relay For Life will be held from 4 p.m. June 2 to 4 p.m. June 3 at the Oil City High School track.
The “Paint the County Purple” kick off event will be held April 29 at the Cranberry Mall.
Relay teams can set up booths to provide information to the public and gather donations.
Food, games and entertainment will be offered throughout the 24 hours in June. This year’s theme centers around board games and is called “In It to Win It.”
The 2017 countywide goal is $100,000. About $25,000 has already been donated to the cause.
Other events will include a luminaria ceremony the night of Friday, June 2, and both a military veteran and local firefighter lap around the track.
A luncheon will be held at noon Saturday, June 3, with registration starting at 11 a.m.
Cancer survivors and caregivers will be honored at the luncheon, which will be followed by a survivor’s lap around the track.
