Here is today’s schedule of events at the Venango County Fair:
9 a.m. – Open pleasure horse show – Kiwanis Bowl
9 to 11:30 a.m. – Family fishing at the pond – DCNR Oil Creek – Pond
11:30 a.m. – 4-H and open dairy show – Phillips Arena
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Make & Take with Community Services/Early Head Start – Log Cabin
11 a.m. – “Meat Rabbits Start to Finish” – Presentation by Libby Kent – Scrubgrass Stage
1 to 5 p.m. – Gameland
1 p.m. – Barnyard Olympics – Frog jumping contest – Contestants must provide their own frogs – Scrubgrass Stage
1 to 3 p.m. – Driving simulator with Franklin state police trooper Michelle McGee and PennDOT – Log Cabin
1 to 3 p.m. – Make & Take “Button Pins” with Venango County MH/DS and The Pointe – Eatery Pavilion
3 p.m. – Barnyard Olympics – Animal dressing contest – Phillips Arena
6 p.m. – Cheese yield auction – Phillips Arena
6:30 p.m. – 4-H livestock auction – Phillips Arena
Ongoing events include the Kent Family Circus and hot dog pig racing.
The fairgrounds close at 11 p.m.
