Venango commissioners discuss jail contracts, airport restaurant

At their monthly meeting, Venango County commissioners approved several contracts, including one with Northwest Pennsylvania Family Services to establish a re-entry program for inmates at the county jail, funded by opioid settlement money. The program aims to assist inmates in reintegrating into the community and is expected to be operational by fall. Additionally, the commissioners renewed a contract with Oasis Management Systems Inc. for jail commissary services and approved a lease agreement for The Runway Ristorante and Lounge to open at the Venango Regional Airport. They also approved a cooperative agreement to complete the Titusville portion of the Erie to Pittsburgh Trail and issued a proclamation honoring Tanner Myers for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.
