Venango County will sponsor a collection for household hazardous waste and electronics from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 8, in the back parking lot of the Cranberry Mall.
Attendees are required to pre-register with Environmental Coordination and Services prior to the day of the event.
Pre-registration may be done online at ECSR.net or by calling (866) 815-0016.
The costs for proper disposal of these materials are 87 cents per pound of household hazardous waste (paints, chemicals, batteries, fluorescent light bulbs, etc.), 45 cents per pound for TVs and monitors, 52 cents per pound for small freon containing devices and 25 cents per pound for all other electronics (laptops, printers, microwaves, cell phones, stereos, etc.).
