At the Valley Grove School Board’s monthly meeting, the board hired Anna Hargenrader as a part-time district-wide receptionist, approved several supplemental contracts for sports coaching positions, and reluctantly accepted the retirement of high school English teacher Beth Proper after 22½ years of service. Board members expressed gratitude and noted the challenge of filling her role. The meeting also celebrated fall student athletes, including state cross-country qualifiers Isabel Griffin and Maxx Baker, district qualifiers in golf and girls’ golf, and the region-champion boys’ golf and girls’ volleyball teams.
