The United Way of Venango County has partnered with area hair stylists and PA 2-1-1 to hold its annual back to school Hair Affair event.
The event, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, at various salons, will provide free basic haircuts to any Venango County child or youth ages 3-18 who will be going back to school this fall.
Each participant will also receive a backpack full of school supplies.
Appointments will be made in 20-minute intervals for basic haircuts only.
Parents who would like to schedule their child’s appointment must contact PA 2-1-1 by dialing 2-1-1 or texting 898-211.
A resource specialist there will assist in scheduling an appointment on a first come, first serve basis.
Participating salons this year are Razor’s Edge, Kreative Kuts, Sutch’s Beauty Salon, Siverly Barber Shop and Underground Beauty Lounge LLC.
