Ugly sweaters and beautiful lights on display in Clarion

The Central Clarion Wildcat Marching Band brings some Christmas cheer as they march in Clarion’s Light Up Night parade.

The Clarion community came together Saturday night for a festive Light Up Night celebration, highlighted by the arrival of Santa and Mrs. Claus. The evening began with the Ugly Christmas Sweater Parade, featuring scout troops, the Wildcat marching band, Civil Air Patrol members, and even the Wildcat football team, who received cheers after their recent playoff run. The parade concluded at Veterans Memorial Park, where Santa and Mrs. Claus greeted children, listened to wish lists, and handed out cookies and milk. The park glowed with Christmas trees sponsored by local businesses, while earlier in the day, pop-up shops and downtown businesses offered holiday shopping opportunities. The event, sponsored by the Clarion Chamber of Business and Industry and LOCAL Clarion County, brought warmth and joy to the chilly evening, continuing the town’s tradition of holiday cheer.
