Two Forest seniors win essay contest

Seniors Abby Worley, center, of West Forest High School, and Aletta Summers, right, of East Forest High School, were chosen as winners for their essays by the Forest County Republican party this month. This year’s topic was “Why is the right to vote in national and local elections important?” Senator Scott Hutchinson is shown here presenting each of the girls with an award of $200 for their one-page, original responses to the question. Worley, Summers and their families were also invited to dinner with some other prominent Republican party members.
