Simon Burkett and Gabriel Rankin have been named valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, of the Oil City High School Class of 2024. Burkett, son of Bill and Shelly Burkett, will attend Geneva College to study biopsychology and communication disorders, aiming to become a school psychologist, while continuing his tennis career. His school involvement included choir, band, National Honor Society, and varsity tennis, earning numerous awards. Rankin, son of Jason and Amy Rankin, will attend PennWest-Clarion to major in accounting. His extracurricular activities included leadership roles in various clubs, as well as participation in the concert and marching bands.
