Wine walk held during festival
In conjunction with the Titusville Oil Festival, the Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its annual fundraising wine walk from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 11, in downtown Titusville.
Eleven wineries will set up in businesses to offer samples of their wine and sell bottles or cases to participants. Purchased wine can be “checked” so that guests don’t have to carry bottles all night. Instead, they can retrieve their wine from the Wine Check from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Henderson Electric at 210 W. Central Ave.
Tickets are $25 a person and on sale at the chamber office, online at www.TitusvilleChamber.com and by phone at 827-2941. The ticket includes a souvenir wine glass, hors d’ oeuvre and entry into the wine fridge raffle.
Additional wine fridge raffle tickets are $5 each or three for $10. People do not need to attend the wine walk to participate in the raffle.
Refreshments will be available at several locations, but the main food stop, will be located inside Stonehouse Jack.
Wine walk participants may also purchase food from Oil Festival vendors on Spring and Washington streets and any Titusville restaurant.
Participants must be 21 years of age or older and show a valid ID at the time of registration. Not all locations are accessible to those with disabilities. Only those with wine walk lanyards will be permitted into wine walk and food stops. Designated drivers and those under 21 may accompany participants around town and enjoy the Oil Festival, organizers said.
