Titusville mulls funding for $67M flood mitigation project

The Titusville City Council recently addressed major infrastructure issues, effectively decriminalized marijuana possession, and adopted a foreclosed property registry program. They discussed funding options for a $66.6 million project to mitigate flooding from Church Run, with a primary recommendation of using state Department of General Services funds. The council also approved an ordinance for registering foreclosed properties, to be managed by Hera Property Registry, and passed a bill making marijuana possession punishable by a non-traffic citation fine. Additionally, the council was informed about significant repairs needed for a city-owned vacuum truck, essential for maintaining the city’s water and sewer systems.
