A Titusville man is facing burglary and theft charges after allegedly breaking into his mother’s home in Cherrytree Township last weekend and stealing numerous items.

A criminal complaint filed through district judge Andrew Fish’s office said Cody Daniel Stokes, 22, entered his mother’s house on Breedtown Road without her permission between 7 a.m. Friday and midnight Saturday and removed numerous items.

Stokes took hydrocodone pills, household cleaning supplies, women’s hygiene products, a George Foreman grill and several other items, the complaint said.

The items were recovered from both Stokes’ residence on Swartz Lane and his vehicle that was located in Titusville, the complaint said.

Stokes is facing a felony count of burglary in addition to misdemeanor counts of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.

He was arraigned before Fish and placed in the Venango County jail on $10,000 bail.

A preliminary hearing has been tentatively scheduled for June 14 in Central Court.
