The Titusville Area School District exceeded revenue expectations by $1.2 million, while also coming in under budget by $63,000 for expenditures, resulting in a $63,165 surplus instead of the anticipated $1.15 million deficit, according to an audit report. Local and state revenues were higher than budgeted, while federal revenues fell short. Additionally, the district plans to use a $599,109 annual payout from the Commonwealth’s fair funding ruling to address charter school tuition and other programs. Support staff received a 5% annual pay raise through a newly ratified five-year contract, and the school board approved a $502,076 contract to replace part of the high school roof. Lastly, school meal participation is up, with students favoring spicy and new menu options.
