Titusville area crash causes spill, long road closure

Route 27 near Titusville was closed for over 12 hours on Tuesday due to a two-vehicle crash involving a tanker, which resulted in an oil and kerosene spill. The accident occurred around 5:40 a.m. near the intersection with Campbell Road in Oil Creek Township. The closure extended between Forest Drive in Titusville and Enterprise Road in Oil Creek Township. Cleanup efforts were extensive, with numerous emergency responders, including local fire departments, EmergyCare Ambulance Service, and state police, present at the scene. As of 6:30 p.m., the road remained closed, and the cleanup was expected to be completed by midnight.
