Tionesta’s annual Christmas in the Village event brought festive cheer on Saturday, featuring the Sisters of the Northern Forest, who swapped their Halloween witch costumes for elf outfits, dancing and singing alongside Santa Claus and even Bigfoot, donning a Santa hat. The event included an abominable snowman appearance, local merchants offering crafts and treats, and plenty of holiday fun for the community. The celebration sets the stage for Tionesta’s Light Up Night on Dec. 7, where Santa will light the downtown Christmas tree amid live music, refreshments, and a visit from Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
