Entries are being accepted for Youth Alternatives’ Oil Heritage Tiny Tot contest.
The contest for Oil Heritage Prince and Princess is for children ages 1 to 3 years old.
Parents, guardians and family members can submit a wallet-sized photo of their child to Youth Alternative’s by Wednesday, July 12, by mail, email or by dropping the photo off at one of the organizations centers: 1 Graff St., Oil City and at First Presbyterian Church, 1250 Elk St., Franklin. The email address to submit photos is Yuri.Miyazaki@yavenangocounty.org.
Entries must include the child’s name, age, birth date, parent’s name(s), phone numbers and address on the back of the photo.
Voting will take place from Wednesday, July 19, through 4 p.m. Friday, July 21, and will be done by monetary donation at the Oil Heritage Festival headquarters during business hours. The tots that raise the most money will be crowned prince and princess of the Oil Heritage Festival.
The winners will be announced and crowned Friday, July 21, during the concert intermission in Justus Park.
The parents of the new prince and princess will be called after voting ends, before the Justus Park announcement.
The winning prince and princess will receive a $50 gift certificate of their choice and will ride in the Oil Heritage Parade at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 22.
