The Blacklight Ball will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Oil City Community Alliance Church at 411 Seneca St.
The Blacklight Ball is a dance that is open to all local youths in sixth through 12th grades. The event is open to all area youths regardless of school, church or neighborhood.
“But this isn’t your normal, everyday dance. It’s a Blacklight Ball which means everything will glow in the dark,” event planners said.
The space will feature lots of black lights so attendees should wear lots of white or neon colors. They may dress casually or dress up semi-formally. “Just make sure it will glow under a blacklight,” event planners said. Music will be provided by DJ Phil Close.
The event is sponsored by Revolution Youth Ministry. Tickets are $5 and went on sale Dec. 1. Tickets may be purchased by calling the office at Oil City Community Alliance Church at 676-1965 or stopping in to the church office at 411 Seneca St., Oil City. Those purchasing tickets should ask for the church secretary Wendy Marlatt. Advanced ticket purchase is required.
