Following the announcement of virtual schooling, the Cranberry High School mock trial team, composed of Hannah Niederriter, Trevor Olson, Alaina Olson, Alaina Hogue, Lucas Blum, Brooke Whitling, and Ellabay Perry, had to move their casework to zoom.
This year, they will be engaged in a particularly interesting story, “Estate of George Romero v. Ashley Williams,” a homicide case in a criminal court turned negligence case in a civil suit.
On Jan. 26-28, they will figuratively head to the Erie Courthouse for their first ever virtual mock trial, to test their argumentative skills, knowledge of the case, and ability to sway a virtual court.
