The Pittsburgh Symphony Brass will play in Titusville

TITUSVILLE — Tickets will be on sale Monday for the Pittsburgh Symphony Brass Holiday concert and the live performance of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” on Saturday, Dec. 3, at Henne Auditorium of the University of Pittsburgh at Titusville.

For the past six years, Titusville Council on the Arts has been hosted The Pittsburgh Symphony Brass for a holiday concert in Henne Auditorium.

The Pittsburgh Symphony Brass was organized by George Vosburgh in 1994 with an emphasis on featuring some of the world’s finest orchestral brass musicians playing in chamber ensemble.  They bring a delightful performance of carols and traditional holiday music to the community.

In 2014, Titusville Council on the Arts announced a new addition to the concert; a live performance of the beloved 1965 television family classic, “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” performed by the Titusville High School Drama Club. “This event is something that the community looks forward to every year,” said Ashley Eichhorn-Thompson, Executive Director of Titusville Council on the Arts.  “We are thrilled that it has become a local tradition and that it appeals to families and people of all ages.”

Doors will open at 1 p.m. for the Dec. 3 event.  The concert and performance begin at 1:30 p.m.   A catered reception will follow the event.  Tickets are $15 for adults, $8 for students and seniors and free for children ages 5 years old and under.  Tickets available will be available Monday at Titusville Area Chamber of Commerce.  More information is available online at www.titusvillecounilonthearts. org or by calling 827-2381 more information.
