Red squirrels and other critters were busy preparing for the coming cold. The hemlock tree was full this weekend of birds and squirrels working to dislodge seeds from its cones.
The air was filled with noise that sounded like a thousand Pop Rocks as the critters ate their fill.
Meanwhile, the trail cameras captured the comings and goings of several deer.
Including a photo of an ear of “someone deer” who may have tried to tamper with the camera.
The sunflower in the side garden succumbed to the hard frosts of the past week.
More and more winter birds are showing up including dark-eyed juncos.
