The City of Franklin street department will sweep streets in the following areas next week:
Monday – Third shift: business district; First shift: random areas around the city
Wednesday – Third shift: odd sides of Otter Street from 11th to 15th and even sides of Elk Street from 15th to 11th; First shift: both sides of Myrtle, Sassafras and Pearl streets
Thursday – Third shift: even sides of Otter Street from 11th to 15th and odd sides of Elk Street from 15th to 11th; First shift: 700 blocks of 11th, 12th and 13th streets and both sides of Elm Street and Hillside Avenue
Residents may see temporary No Parking signs along some streets with times and days to be swept. Anti-skid materials may be swept into piles in front of residents’ property to be picked up by city crews.
Residents should call the city garage at (814) 437-1600 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays to give the location of the piles that need to be picked up.
