Street sweeping schedule set

The street departments of Franklin and Oil City will sweep streets next week in the following areas:

Franklin

Monday – Third shift: odd side of Elk Street from 11th to First streets, odd side of the 600 block of Atlantic Avenue; First shift: 400 and 500 blocks of Atlantic Avenue

Tuesday – Third shift: even side of Elk Street from 11th to First streets, odd side of Buffalo Street from 11th to First, and odd side of Fourth Street; First shift: even side of Orchard, Center, Pine and Norman streets

Wednesday – Third shift: even side of Buffalo Street from First to 11th, and even side of Fourth Street; First shift: even side of the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of Grant Street

Thursday – Third shift: both sides of Second and Third streets, 200 block of Egbert Street, and both sides of Park Street; First shift: odd side of the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of Grant Street

Friday – Third shift: even side of 11th, Ninth, Seventh and Fifth streets, and odd side of 10th, Eighth and Sixth streets; First shift: odd side of the 100, 200 and 300 blocks of Grant Street

Residents may see temporary No Parking signs along some streets with times and days to be swept. Anti-skid materials may be swept into piles in front of residents’ property to be picked up by city crews.

Residents should call the city garage at 437-1600 between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. on weekdays to give the location of the piles that need to be picked up.

Oil City

Monday – Pearl, Carroll and Bishop avenues, Butler Alley, Oak Street

Tuesday – Harriott Avenue from Spring to Hone, Seeley Avenue, Smithman and Manning streets, and Butternut Alley from Plummer to Manning

Wednesday – Cooper Avenue, Hoffman Avenue starting from Plummer, Bissell Aveenue from Plummer to Manning, and Crawford Street

Thursday – Clarion, Jefferson, Warren and Clearfield streets

All vehicles must be off of posted streets by 7:30 a.m. Vehicles not moved will be ticketed and possibly towed.
