Stockings for the Veterans & Family Memorial Care’s Christmas Stockings for Soldiers initiative can be picked up through Friday, Dec. 16, at Huff Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 312 W. Park St., Franklin.
Interested persons will receive a list of recommended items for soldiers along with the free stocking.
The funeral home will deliver the stockings to a homeless shelter for veterans.
The funeral home also serves as an official drop off center for Cell Phones for Soldiers. People can donate their old cellphones to help troops call home this holiday season. The old cellphones will be recycled and turned into calling cards.
Interested persons can stop by the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, to pick up their free stockings or to drop off an old cellphone.
