State police open hiring cycles for cadets, liquor enforcement officer trainees

The Pennsylvania State Police is accepting applications for cadet and liquor enforcement officer trainee positions. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and pass a series of evaluations, including written exams, physical tests, and background checks. Cadet training spans 28 weeks, covering Pennsylvania laws, physical fitness, and police procedures, while liquor enforcement officer training lasts 16 weeks. Graduates earn promotions and salary increases, with troopers starting at $66,911 annually and liquor enforcement officers at $50,950 annually. Application deadlines are March 31 for cadets and April 30 for liquor enforcement trainees, available via the state’s employment website.
