Registered voters in Pennsylvania can now request mail ballots online for the upcoming November 5 presidential election through a newly redesigned, user-friendly application. The updated system offers clearer instructions and a more efficient application process, including specific guidance for military and overseas civilian voters. This year, the application is available two months earlier than in 2020, providing over eight additional weeks for voters to apply. Applications must be received by county elections boards by 5 p.m. on October 29. Secretary of the Commonwealth Al Schmidt emphasized that these changes aim to enhance the vote-by-mail experience, reduce ballot rejections, and simplify the process, building on the popularity and security of no-excuse mail-in voting established in 2019.
