State files lawsuit against alleged Florida-based scammers

Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry has sued Florida-based PA Corporate Certificates, LLC, and its owners for allegedly scamming over 1,000 business owners by impersonating the PA Department of State. The company misrepresented the need for a $40 Subsistence Certificate, inflating its price to $102.50. Some victims received certificates while others did not. The lawsuit seeks an injunction to halt the scam, refunds for affected businesses, and civil penalties of up to $1,000 per violation. Business owners targeted by the scam are encouraged to file complaints with the Attorney General’s Office.
