State Farm donates award winning books to the Clarion Free Library

State Farm agent Jamie Thompson, left, presented 10 books to the Clarion Free Library on March 17. Among these books, Thompson presented the 2025 Newbery Medal winner, “The First State of Being” by Erin Entrada Kelly, as well as the winners in all Schneider Family Award categories (younger children, middle grade and young adult). Other books Thompson presented included the winner of the Excellence in Nonfiction Award, “Rising from the Ashes” by Paula Yoo; the winner of the Coretta Scott King Award, “Twenty-four Seconds from Now…” by Jason Reynolds; and the New Talent Award, “Jimmy’s Rhythm and Blues” by Michelle Meadows. These awards are given by committees put together by the American Library Association (ALA) with the goal to focus on celebrating the top books, digital media, video and audio materials for children and young adults.
