Several performances, activities planned for First Night Oil City

The Oil City Arts Council’s 25th annual First Night celebration, themed “Silver Bells,” will take place Dec. 31 from 5:30 to 10:45 p.m. across Oil City. This family-friendly, alcohol-free event features a 6:30 p.m. fireworks display, live music by bands like Touch of Grey, Brandon Rae Band, and Long Road Home, dueling pianos, performances by Moe Taters & the Gravy Train, and magicians like Mike Catanzarito. Guests can enjoy a drum circle, crafts like a crazy hat-making project, clowns, photo booths, and an interactive pig show. Events will be held at multiple venues on both sides of town, with shuttle service from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m. Admission buttons are $10 (kids under 10 free) and available at select locations. Brochures with schedules are provided upon purchase, and most entertainers perform multiple times. For details, visit the event’s website or social media.
