Several OC streets are part of paving project

From staff reports

A paving project involving a number of streets in Oil City is currently out to bid.

The work will include paving Orange Street from Front Street to the city limits, North Street from Division to Wyllis streets, Division from Front to West First streets and Innis Street from Front to West First streets, according to Lyndsey King of the city’s engineering department said.

King said Ellen Drive in Hasson Heights has been put in as an alternate, and the city hopes to pave that street soon.

The city will open bids Aug. 2 and award contracts at the Aug. 12 city council meeting, King said.

In addition, King said the city will pave the lower part of Wyllis Street where a sewer line broke following recent rains.

King said the paving on Wyllis will begin much sooner than the other street work that is out to bid.
