Seats are still available for a bus trip to Washington, D.C., for the annual March for Life on Friday.
The bus will leave the Oil City Knights of Columbus at 11:30 p.m. Friday. More pick-ups are scheduled at the Franklin Knights of Columbus and King’s Restaurant in Barkeyville.
The bus will arrive at a church on Capitol Hill at about 7:30 a.m. Friday, and restrooms and snacks will be available before participants begin the day’s agenda.
The March for Life rally begins at noon at the Washington Monument and lasts about an hour before the march begins. The march takes place on Constitution Avenue and ends at the Supreme Court where women who regret their abortions tell their stories.
The bus will leave Washington at 4:30 p.m. to begin the return home, and there will be a dinner stop in Frederick, Maryland. The bus will be back in Oil City at about 1 a.m. Saturday.

The March for Life has been occurring every January since 1973 when the Supreme Court legalized abortion for the entire nine months of pregnancy with its Roe V. Wade decision.
