PARKER – A search was called off Tuesday afternoon for a 15-year-old Parker girl who was reportedly last seen after she went into some woods to retrieve a horseshoe she tossed there during a game.
Butler state police say Alexis Walker was last seen about 9 p.m. Monday on property at 123 Locust Lane in Parker.
Police and volunteer firefighters from eight departments scoured the area on the ground and with a state police helicopter for many hours before the search was called off about 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Police said they thoroughly searched an area of between 2 and 4 miles of the house.
Police said Walker was last seen wearing a pink-colored hooded sweatshirt and black yoga pants. She is about four feet, 11 inches tall and weighs about 100 pounds.
She left the house with a packed bag, according to published reports.
