A school safety drill will be conducted Friday, March 20, at the Oil City high school and middle school.
The drill will be held in conjunction with the Oil City police and fire departments, Venango County Human Services, and Venango County 911.
The routine drill, which is being held during a professional development day, will only involve staff, high school principal Scott Stahl said. Students will not be at school that day.
Stahl added that it will be a “reunification drill” focusing on getting students back to their parents following an emergency situation at the school.
The drill will take place from noon to 3 p.m.
Stahl said the school runs safety drills routinely, some involving only staff and some involving both staff and students.
