Joan Kriebel and her sister, Jayne Daugherty, craft and sell candy sleighs to support homeless veterans in Clarion County, raising $2,500 in 2024 for Community Action’s Supportive Services for Veterans and Families (SSVF). This program provides case management, housing support, and job assistance to veterans at risk of or experiencing homelessness. The sisters’ project began as a holiday initiative, combining their love of crafting with their dedication to veterans’ well-being. Kriebel, also a respiratory therapist and Wreaths Across America volunteer, plans to continue the annual sleigh project thanks to community generosity.
