Sandy Lake Community Fun Days are scheduled for Friday through Saturday, July 13-14.
Events on Friday will include a fireman’s parade at 7 p.m., the Great Sandy Lake Bed Races at 8 p.m., a talent show immediately following the races, a performance by Tree Beard Brown Band at 9 p.m., and a family movie in the park. Attendees should take lawn chairs.
Events on Saturday will include a car show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., a free kid zone from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., a chicken barbecue from noon to 6 p.m., and a performance by Blackmac the Illusionist at 2 p.m. At 4 p.m. on Saturday, the band performances will start at 4 p.m. Pine Valley Boys will be the first to perform, followed by Filament at 5 p.m., then Basement Band at 6 p.m., Slim Brothers at 7 p.m., Jersey Guy at 8 p.m. and last to perform will be Hunter Cook & The Hunter Cook Band at 9 p.m. Fireworks will commence at 10 p.m.
