Clarion state police said a Rimersburg man died in an one-vehicle accident Monday in Licking Township.
According to police, Kenneth “Shane” Kriebel, 41, was traveling east on Route 58 at about 4:50 p.m. and had just completed a pass of another vehicle.
Kriebel lost control of his 2014 Ford Focus and traveled off the south side of the roadway, and the left front of his car sheared a utility pole, police said.
The impact caused live wires to hang over the top of the vehicle, and the right side of the vehicle then impacted a tree, police said
Kriebel was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Sligo and Callensburg fire departments, Southern Clarion County Ambulance and Central Electric Cooperative assisted at the scene.
